Organization summary: New Generation Energy (NGE) is a Boston-based non-profit that provides investment options in the areas of renewable energy, conservation, and the environment. Our innovative and unique Renewable Energy Investment Note (REIN) program allows individuals, businesses, and foundations to invest in the generation of clean renewable energy such as solar, wind, geothermal, and efficiency improvement. In addition to our note program, NGE engages in education and promotional activities to raise awareness and public acceptance of renewable energy.
Position overview: NGE is seeking an innovative and motivated intern to help promote NGE’s Renewable Energy Investment Note (REIN) program. The selected intern will be in charge of developing promotional materials, exploring outlets for advertising e-marketing campaigns, updating NGE’s blog, and website upgrades. In addition, this person will provide graphical design expertise, assist in drafting and editing documents, provide creative feedback on website changes, and create PowerPoint presentations.
Key Responsibilities: Researching outlets to advertise NGE’s Renewable Energy Investment Notes. Creating, writing and editing brochures, pamphlets and worksheets for trade shows and other events. Communicating closely with Marketing Advisors to improve the website, power points and determine other graphic design elements needed. Provide graphical design expertise for website and promotional materials.
Requirements:
· Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
· Public Speaking/ Presentation Experience
· Strong organizational skills; detail oriented
· Graphical design knowledge
· Website design knowledge a plus
· Proficiency in html, illustrator, Dreamweaver preferred
· Professional demeanor
· Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
· Enthusiasm and creativity!
Time Frame: Internship will begin in early January and will require a 3 month commitment. 10-15 hour per week. Unpaid.
