Deerpath Energy (wind) - Market Research Analyst
Deerpath Energy develops community-scale renewable energy projects
that have an immediate, tangible impact on the local environment.
Using a new generation of small wind turbines - called micro-wind - we
harvest the maximum amount of wind energy while maintaining harmony
with the local community environment. Deerpath provides a
comprehensive service offering that includes project development,
siting, installation, system operations and maintenance, and
innovative project finance through long-term power purchase
agreements.
Our growth has created the need for a full-time research analyst to
conduct primary and secondary market research for market planning and
business development. This position requires creativity, a high
degree of critical thinking and problem solving skills, and the
ability to condense and summarize data into understandable terms.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, analyze data, and report on trends, markets and
potential prospects (companies, utilities, municipalities,
universities, government, etc.) economic data, competitive activity,
regulatory matters, and other issues that affect our business
- Develop prospect lists and data for market models
- Create and maintain databases
- Summarize information and methodologies
- Ensure connections are made to identify hidden opportunities and
risks
- Transform data into meaningful conclusions and actionable insights
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, business, or other
applicable discipline, with real-world experience in market research
- Excellent analytical and communications skills
- Solid understanding of research methodologies
- Strong intellectual curiosity with ability to quickly retrieve data
from outside sources
- Proficient in MS Office applications and in use of statistical
software programs
- Enjoy collaboration, brainstorming, and teamwork
- Interest in renewable energy
- Passion for research and love working with data!
